DAM Summer Crafts Market

The DAM Summer Crafts Market expands the boundaries of last year's highly successful ceramics market by adding wood artists to the mix. More than forty selected local artists have created beautiful pieces that express the transformative nature of these two most basic of media - clay and wood.

january 11th - february 17th
2008 ALL MEDIA EXHIBITION

The Detroit Artists Market is pleased to present its "2008 All-Media Exhibition." Opening January 11,2007 at DAM's main gallery in Detroit's Cultural Center, the show will kick off DAM's seventy-sixth year with a juried exhibition of contemporary art by 23 Detroit and Windsor area artists. Since 1932 the Detroit Artist Market has been rooted in the history of Detroit art and culture, and continues today to be a community organization promoting contemporary art.

February 29 - April 5
DAM Scholarship and Exhibition Program: Cranbrook

Students are selected each year consecutively from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Wayne State University and the College for Creative Studies to exhibit along side of distinguished alumni. This year students and alumni from Cranbrook Academy will be honored with an exhibition and scholarships including the John F. Korachis Scholarship.

The Market Presents: Tom Parish and John Hegarty

In 1986 the Detroit Artist Market opened "The Market Presents" with Tom Parish and John Hegarty recognizing them as distinguished senior artists in Detroit community. This exhibition revisits Hegarty and Parish, still working without pause for over thirty years in Detroit.

A special auction benefiting the Detroit Artist Market featuring over 100 artists interpreting a design by Paint by Numbers creator Dan Robins.

Garden Party and Art Sale

Set in an exquisite garden Grosse Pointe Farms, this one-day event features artist's work for sale include painting, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewelry, glass, ceramic and fiber. Entertainment by Hot Club of Detroit. Don't miss this "Members Only" event! The Garden Party and Art Sale is a benefit of membership. Memberships and memberships for guests may be purchased at the door.
